These pieces were commissioned by the Trans Live Art Salon, in response to an exhibition titled Becoming Christine, by Amanda Dunsmore, and were first exhibited in 2018 in the Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin.

Spaghetti Transition explores the idea of nonlinear transition, and what transition looks like when there isn’t a clear binary path to follow. It draws on my personal experience as someone who was, at the time, in the early stages of nonbinary transition.

This work was also exhibited as part of gender.RIP’s debut exhibition in the NCAD Gallery Dublin in 2018; the Fully Automated Luxury Gender Oasis at the Quarter Block Party Festival Cork in 2019; and The Magic of Transformation in D31 Gallery, Doncaster in 2023.
